Our team had a fantastic experience in the Northern Sunshine Coast and Desolation Sound area filming an episode of CARPe Diem. Majestic images, pure fresh air and interesting people doing interesting things. Perfect, especially in the “shoulder season” before it’s too busy up there. Hard to believe that a short journey from downtown Vancouver could bring you here, to the quintessential BC experience. After working at the JoyTV Studios for 13 years to After working at the JoyTV Studios for 13 years today was my last drive out to Surrey. End of an era as they say. Funny to see the rooms empty of all the items that made them “ours”, now the space is just another office ready for its next occupants. Our team will be nicely situated in Yaletown (6 min walk from my front door!!!) Amigos, it’s a funny feeling closing this chapter but absolutely exciting to open the next one alongside our colleagues at Daily Hive. Oh, and no, I am not talking my posters as my walls will only be decorated with our awards now 😎 If you’re in the neighbourhood stop by for coffee, the pot is always on for you!
This man, my Papá, turns 93 today. He’s a living e This man, my Papá, turns 93 today. He’s a living example of how to age with grace and vitality. Exercises every day, has a deep connection with the community, eats & sleeps well and has a deep passion for his hobbies. That’s basically the Blue Zones recipe for healthy aging. He suffered the loss of his wife, a life-long romance that started before they were 20, that’s a solid marriage. We rallied around him with our many extended trips to Spain to get him through his grief and now he’s thankfully thriving again. Mother’s Day will never be the same at our house. Love yours every day, you never know. Feliz Cumpleaños Papá!!
