Launched by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, the Medal recognizes those who have made significant contributions to Canada and their home province. It was with great respect for your achievements that the Honourable Wendy Cocchia put forth your name for this recognition, with subsequent approval by the Chancellery of Honours in Ottawa. This Spanish immigrant woman is thrilled to receive a Canadian honour created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles lll. A room with a view. Incredible revitalization pro A room with a view. Incredible revitalization project of Ontario Place is worth the gasp! This 53 yr old site is getting a major revamp, and at $500 million it promises to completely reimagine the waterfront. Love to see it.
Here in Northern Spain it’s customary not to dri Here in Northern Spain it’s customary not to drink coffee after 10(ish) am, that’s what white wine is for. Typical schedule? 8am: coffee (& maybe a beer chaser) 11am-1pm : drink a glass of “blanco” and enjoy a bite of something solid, go back to work. 2pm: break for lunch, maybe with a glass of wine? (most shops & businesses close) 4pm - 8pm: back to work (many don’t) 9pm: dinner 11pm: go home … tomorrow do it all over again. A truly social environment, be prepared to live fully when you come here 😎 (At least that’s the schedule I see often, don’t judge!) Who am I to argue with traditions? 😉 #carpediem
Today’s adventure… I present to you one of th Today’s adventure… I present to you one of the prettiest villages in Spain (designated thus by our country’s very own Tourism Org) Novales is famous for its sweet lemons and small-batch cheeses (goat, cow & sheep milk can be used alone or combined) this place is a marvel to behold. Under 500 inhabitants can be counted in this fairytale valley which possesses its own micro climate, hence the abundance of citrus trees all year. Like any small town in the North the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Best to go off season as summer is too busy to enjoy the peace it offers. 45km from my front door. @cantabriaturismo @zoomermedia #carpediem
